We Will Rock You is a long standing musical (rocking London's streets since 2002) based on an universe painted by the rocking tunes of Queen and named after one of their most famous singles. Ben Elton is the writer to this eclectic masterpiece set in a decadent future similar to the one portrayed on Childhood's End. Along with Mr.Elton, Queen members Roger Taylor and Brian May both helped with the writing, producing and, of course, the music.

Story

The future rolls the carpet on the planet formerly known as Earth and Globalization reigns complete. It is a globalization of the mind as well as of the soul: the young ones watch the same movies, wear the same clothes and think the same thoughts. In this parody of shared happiness everything is as great as it's ought to be. Except for the Rebels...

Under the crystal cities a rebellion of the unsatisfied Bohemians grows and the outcasts dream of musical instruments and gods of Rock. Will our hero Galileo be able to break the chains of oppression and set the souls of his fellow Bohemians free?

We Will Rock You is a fantastic musical for both young and old. It successfully combines the best characteristics of theatrical performance and high action tunes from a selection of 32 classics from Queen. Both accessible and refined, the show presents a simple story charged with powerful emotion and with very real ties to our reality. Best for going with your couple, we also recommend it if you are going with a bunch of music loving friends.
